Partnership Alignment

One of the biggest obstacles to success law firms face is a lack of partner alignment. If firm leaders are not aligned in terms of goals, vision, or values, it can wreak havoc on the rest of the firm. To weather economic uncertainty and capitalize on all opportunities, partners must put differences aside and coalesce around what's best for the health of the firm and its people.

Acting as a united front can be challenging if there are frustrations, perceptions of inequity, concerns around compensation, or personality conflicts, all of which are common in law firms of all sizes. Add to the mix the fact that lawyers, particularly litigators, typically shy away from internal conflict, and it can be a recipe for disaster.

For over 15 years we have been helping partners to build trust, improve communication, and skillfully handle necessary confrontations. Not only have we worked closely with law firm partners to address conflict in a respectful and productive manner, we have been through it ourselves, working through difficult situations with our own business partners in the past.

Our engagements include retreat facilitation, workshops, leadership training for partners, conflict resolution, assistance with initial partnership formation, lateral hiring and integration support, and more.
